EVENTS & HAPPENINGS:

Wobus Memorial Craft Center at Shannondale open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday through mid-October. Consider volunteering as a store clerk one or more weekend days! But if you cannot, remember to come by and shop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. when you are in the Ozarks. Summer Performing Arts Camp (PAC), July 10-24, St. John UCC, St. Charles, Mo. with auditions June 4-5 for high school students.  PAC is an intense two-week rehearsal of a popular musical -- this year, Shrek the Musical Jr. To schedule an audition (available virtually) or for more information, email Anna DiVesta or call 636-946-0961. Tickets for July 22-24 performances will be on sale in July.

Christian Adventure Canoe Camp, sponsored by St. Martin’s UCC, Dittmer, Mo., July 10-14, at Shannondale for youth who have completed sixth grade and older. Cost: $200 per camper, with arrival scheduled for 2-3 p.m. Sunday, July 10 and pick-up by 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14. Campers will bunk in Timber Lodge at Shannondale, which provides showers and bunk beds with separate quarters for boys and girls. Monday through Wednesday will feature canoeing and lunching on the Current River and returning to the lodge each evening for meals, activities, campfires, and vespers. Evening activities also may include visiting the Current River State Park, cave exploring, and hiking. St. Martin's has been involved in Canoe Camp at Shannondale for more than 20 years, developing a love for the beautiful land God created at Shannondale in Salem, Mo. and the area residents who are caretakers of the river and woods. Interim Director of Music, part-time, First Congregational Church of St. Louis.  We are seeking a part time interim Director of Music beginning May 1, 2022 thru December 31, 2022.   You will have the opportunity to develop and plan a multi-faceted music program, as well as incorporate outside musicians into the worship services. St. Paul UCC, Belleville, IL, Organ and piano position available

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Areas of responsibilities include excellent organ and piano offerings for all services and accompaniment for weekly choir rehearsals and other musical ensembles as needed. In consultation with the senior pastor, serve as a resource for family weddings and funerals. Compensation will be appropriate to the weekly job responsibilities, background/experience, and professional preparation of the applicant.  POSITION PROFILE:  at the direction of the senior pastor and director of music, establish goals and a plan of organization to contribute to the growth and development of the church music program; in consultation with the pastor and director of music ministry, select hymns and weekly service music; be personally responsible for hiring substitutes for all absences including vacations and illnesses; during weekly rehearsals, work in the preparation of music for worship services; work/communicate with the facility manager to monitor maintenance/tuning and movement of piano and organ in the sanctuary.  Please send resume with three references to musicsearch@stpaulucc.org.

Pastor of Visitation - St. Johns Evangelical United Church of Christ (Mehlville) is seeking a Pastor of Visitation. Director of Music - Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ferguson MO is seeking a dedicated and creative individual for the position of Director of Music. The position oversees and provides leadership for the total music ministry of a Pre-COVID19, 300 member church with senior pastor. Responsibilities include playing the Wicks pipe organ and grand piano for up to two services each Sunday. Previously, the Director of Music duties included a volunteer adult choir and adult hand-bell choir, overseeing a children’s choir, preparing music for seasonal services, etc. with activities on Wednesday evening, Thursday evening and Sunday morning for nine months, then reduced summer hours while choirs break for the summer.  Previous church music experience and a degree in music is preferred. Eden Seminary Free Books!
The seminary has thousands of books on theology and religion that are free for the taking. The collection is open for browsing on Friday mornings, 9:00 a.m. to noon on the first level of Schulz Hall. Enter through Door B on the east side of the building. Eden students, faculty, and staff are welcome. The books have been donated over the years by retired pastors and their families.
