Reflection on Eastern Association Town Hall Meeting
The Eastern Association Committee on Ministry recently held a Town Hall meeting to discuss opportunities for shared ministry. Rev. Andy Mockridge, featured speaker, shared her experience of working with congregations that decided to yoke. The evening event included devotions by host Pastor Jeff Mueller, St. Paul's UCC, Marthasville, along with small group discussions led by Associate Conference Minister, Rev. Dale Parson, and reflections by Conference Minister, Rev. Dr. Ginny Brown Daniel. Over 90 people participated in this first Town Hall event and a follow-up event is being planned for the Fall.
Many of our small membership churches are experiencing difficulty attracting candidates for pastoral leadership vacancies. This Town Hall meeting was designed to help get everyone together to discuss possibilities, brainstorm, and network with other congregational leaders.

We now encourage churches to meet together to determine if they wish to yoke.
