Although Jeff ended his ministry with us in September, 2017, we want to celebrate his 21 years as the Executive Director of Shannondale Outdoor Ministries.
Rev. Dr. Ginny Brown Daniel, MMS Conference Minister, said, “The Missouri Mid-South Conference has been deeply blessed by Jeff’s ministry with us. He creatively imagined developing Carbon Credit ministry from our forest so that generations of people in Shannondale as well as those who buy the Carbon Credits would continue to benefit from the rich soil of God’s land. Jeff’s head, heart, and marrow of his being will live on at Shannondale Outdoor Ministries.”
If you would like to thank Jeff through a financial contribution, you are invited to send a check to Lorraine Brooks at 430 East Lockwood Avenue St. Louis, MO 63119.
Minister Jeff Fulk announces his resignation
Jeff's Resignation Letter . . .
Friends and colleagues of the Missouri Mid-South Conference,
It is with a heavy heart that I am tendering my resignation. After 22 years of being blessed enough to work for a wonderful organization and with so many kind people, the time has come for me to part ways. From the time I was a young man, you have all shown me so much love and support here at Shannondale. As we all know, times change, people age, and health declines. I will be relocating to Indiana to be closer to my family so that I can help care for them. I am sure you all understand. This is what I feel God is leading me to do, and I trust Him with all my heart. Again, I want to thank all of you for teaching me of compassion, determination, and love. I will forever continue my support and love of Shannondale as its mission continues through the ages. I have enjoyed the role and the people very much and will always have fond memories. My last day will be Sunday, October 1st. As these many changes take place, It helps to remember who is in control. Psalms 121 speaks of this.
1 I will alift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My ahelp cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
With much love,
Jeff Fulk, Minister/Manager

Pastoral Response from Ginny Brown Daniel:
It is with a bittersweet spirit that I accept Jeff’s letter of resignation. I am glad he will be able to join his wife, Laurie, in Indiana to care for her ailing parents. However, I am deeply saddened to lose Jeff as the Director of Shannondale Ministries. For 21 years, Jeff has offered the perfect blend of pastoral presence to the Shannondale community, administrative abilities to oversee the camps and cabins themselves while also having the business acumen to not only keep Shannondale afloat but creatively envision the Carbon Credit program and timber sale for the camp and the Missouri Mid-South Conference. 10 years ago, Jeff was faced with a challenging mandate – find sources of money to keep Shannondale sustained or close the ministry. The Holy Spirit moved within Jeff like the Current River waters themselves. He dreamed outside-of-the-box and developed Shannondale Carbon Credit, LLC, with Conference leadership. This is the only religious organization to provide carbon credits in the United States. And that is all thanks to Jeff.
Jeff will work through the end of September 30, 2017. Jeff will provide consulting leadership as we need him in the upcoming year. Jeff’s son, Nathan, will serve as the Interim Director of Shannondale Ministries.
Because of the sudden nature of Jeff’s resignation and our busy fall schedules, we will schedule a conference-wide celebration in the next few months and invite Jeff and Laurie to return. There is a community-wide event on Saturday, September 16th at 12 pm if you are able to attend. May God’s love be with Jeff as he ends a phenomenal ministry with us and may he feel our love and support in this next venture of Jeff’s life journey. Blessings, Ginny
