"Anti-Racist Practice Group"
A Monthly Brown Bag Lunch
Starting Thursday, May 27, 2021
11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
This new group is for pastors and lay leaders serious about putting faith into action to work for racial justice and equity.
Meeting monthly on the fourth Thursday, the group has three goals:
Continue our own learning
Take action for policy changes and teaching in our congregations
Offer accountability and support for committing to this work, since much of our harmful cooperation with white supremacy is unconscious unless we engage with others in self-examination and reflection
Conveners for the first session were:
Rev. Mary Albert (Christ Church UCC, Maplewood MO)
Rita Hill (Pilgrim Congregational UCC, St. Louis MO)
Rev. Dr. Bella Winters (Epiphany UCC, St. Louis MO)
Jeanette Mott “J-MO” Oxford (Epiphany UCC, St. Louis MO)
