St. Louis Association

Click here for a list of churches in the St. Louis Association.

There are 50 Missouri Mid-South Conference United Church of Christ congregations in the St. Louis Association. Our churches include urban, suburban, small town and even rural settings in the Association. Along with congregations in the St. Louis metropolitan area, we also have churches in Little Rock, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee, who are part of the St. Louis Association. Our congregations offer a variety of worship styles, reflecting the approach and tradition of each church. Our history is rich and varied, with churches from the German Evangelical and the Congregational traditions, along with newer churches who have joined us in recent years.

Even with these many differences, the United Church of Christ churches in the St. Louis Association unite to reach out to people in need. Some of the outreach ministries supported by the Association include Neighborhood Houses, St. John’s Community Services, Isaiah 58 Ministries, Joint Neighborhood Ministries, Union Communion Ministries, Lydia’s House, and Doorways. We also work ecumenically through groups such as Habitat for Humanity.

SLA Spring Program Meeting, 2016

The St. Louis Association of the United Church of Christ invites you to the Annual SPRING PROGRAM MEETING

at Eden Theological Seminary, 475 E. Lockwood Avenue, Webster Groves, Missouri 63119 on Thursday, May 5, 2016.

The St. Louis Association Council is pleased to invite you to an evening of fellowship, education, and conversation around the theme: Healthy Congregations: Developing and Sustaining Community.

A congregation's vitality, effectiveness, and impact on the lives of its members and on the community beyond its walls depend greatly on the health of the congregational system.  Healthy relationships and boundaries between members allow space for creative engagement and forward momentum even when there are differences of opinion, background and theology.  The program will be a hands-on introduction to healthy congregational practices that help congregations thrive.  Further information and registration.

What Are We Doing in Ferguson?

Your STL Association Council wants you to know that from the very beginning of the events in Ferguson, UCC folks have been there offering succor, help where needed and marching for JUSTICE.  You may not have been aware of the UCC response yet it has been there.  We are very thankful for those who have been there and also for those who have been supporting and praying for our UCC efforts.  Click here to see the entire informational flyer.  Click here for a church bulletin insert.

If you wish to be involved, please call Josh Gibson, Student Intern, at the Conference office: 314-918-2601 or email

St. Louis Association Prayer Calendar
As part of our covenantal connection to one another through Christ, the St. Louis Association Council has invited member churches to be part of an Association prayer calendar. Each week of the year we will hold up one of our Association churches in prayer.
